The owner of Nick's Custom Cabinets is a 1960 Graduate of Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. He graduated with a Degree in Furniture Design & Construction. After College and 2 years in the Military (Corp of Engineers) as a draftsman, he began working for a French Furniture Designer as a machinist. After one year, Mr. Nicholas be
The owner of Nick's Custom Cabinets is a 1960 Graduate of Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. He graduated with a Degree in Furniture Design & Construction. After College and 2 years in the Military (Corp of Engineers) as a draftsman, he began working for a French Furniture Designer as a machinist. After one year, Mr. Nicholas began his teaching career in Calvert County, Maryland teaching Industrial Arts. Later he transferred to Montgomery County, (Bethesda, Md. ) and continued teaching. While teaching, Mr. Nicholas worked and started his business at home. After 5 years in Montgomery County, he officially opened "Nick's Custom Cabinets, Inc." Since then, Nick's Custom Cabinets, Inc. have built beautiful furniture in some of the most elite homes, churches and offices throughout the Washington Metropolitan area. We have done major work in the World Trade Building in Baltimore, shipped and installed furniture in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia Beach, Texas and Hampton, Va. Nick's Custom Cabinets, Inc. has been published in 4 issues of Home & Design (Washington,Maryland & Virginia) The Magazine of Luxury Homes and Fine Interior.

I own a home in DC that was built in 1920 and after a beautiful renovation by the previous owners to open up the kitchen, there was no pantry or other space that worked well for storage of non-perishables like my can goods, spices, and snacks. After looking into cabinet options , I couldn't find anything that fit my needs -lots of storage in a very tight space, so decided to go with a custom cabinetmaker. I am so happy we found Nick and his team! I sent him a e-mail with a photo of a design I liked and I heard back right away. A coupe days later he sent me some designs, they came out and measured the space and in less than two weeks I had the most beautiful custom cabinet built into my wall. He answer all my questions promptly and worked with me to get exactly what I needed and wanted. The cabinet has everything I need, is just the color I wanted, the materials are solid, and the craftsmanship is incredible. I love it! It makes my house feel more like a home and everyone who comes over falls in love with it too. So glad I went with something custom from a craftsman right in my own community for this special, one of a kind piece. I highly recommend Nick's Custom Cabinets!
